       Super Mario GamesThere are many great games that have been made over the years, but perhaps the most influential and arguably the most fun have been the Mario games that Nintendo started many decades ago. Super Mario and his trusty brother Luigi still kick Bowser tail whether it be jumping on him like the original Mario Bros game or maybe more like Street Fighter as shown in the game Mario Combat. Sonic GamesSonic the Hedgehog made his appearance in 1991 when Sega came out with Sonic the Hedgehog on their classic game system Sega Genesis. Sonic instantly became a cult classic and was the answer to Nintendo's Mario as an icon for game characters. It was such a phenomenon that Sega released new sonic games every year and sometimes even several ones a year. Slowly, the cast of sonic characters grew as Tails, Amy Rose, Knuckles, and others were introduced. Now, there are tons of flash games devoted to Sonic and his friends.
